Acrylic. Marc R. Hanson's lifelong connection to landscape and observation has been shaped by a childhood spent moving across the country and abroad as part of a military family. Born in California, his early years took him from Alaska to Norway before his family settled in northern California. After studying illustration at ArtCenter College of Design, Hanson built a decades-long career as a painter, educator, and workshop instructor. A naturalist at heart, his work explores the beauty of the landscape through strong representational principles and expressive visual storytelling. His paintings have been exhibited nationally and internationally since the early 1980s, and he is a Master Signature Member of the Oil Painters of America. Website: marchansonart.com.
