I was blessed to grow up in a family of artists and crazy creatives who were lovers of nature, animals, and history here in the natural beauty of Cape Cod, and that has remained my constant inspiration. My mother painted with Romanos Rizk back in the early 50’s, and both she and my sister Heather were amazing artists. Neither went to art school. I have drawn or painted what was in front of me since I was old enough to hold a pencil or brush. I attended the Boston Museum School, but to me the mark of an artist isn’t in what they tell you about themselves or where they went to school, it’s in their eye and their intuitive heart... that is what defines them, and that is born, it is not taught.
